1. Data – We collect personal and activity data, which may be linked

We use technologies like cookies (small files stored on your browser), web beacons, or unique device identifiers to identify your computer or device in order to deliver a better experience for you. Our systems also log information like your browser, operating system, and IP address. We collect data regarding your personal information to be used for contacting you if needed, invoice and payment information to carry out your payment processes and optional information to ensure you get the most related tasks on your task feed.

We also may collect personally identifiable information that you provide to us. The list of data we collect upon your submission is:  Email, Name, Last Name Invoice Profile Type, Invoice Country, Phone Number, Tax number / ID number, Address Information State / Province, Currency, BIC / SWIFT, IBAN Number, Middle Name, Interests, Native Language, Birth Date, Gender, Education Level and Freelancer Type.

We collect data regarding your contact information to be used for contacting you if needed, invoice and payment information to carry out your payment processes and optional information to ensure you get the most related tasks on your task feed.

With your permission, we may also access other personal information on your devices, such as your phone book, calendar or messages, in order to provide services to you. If authorized by you, we may also access profile and other information from services like Facebook.

Wordapp has access to all publicly available information on the third party website and to the information that the user has given permission to Wordapp in the identity verification process. Therefore when you create an account through a third party website identity verification, you would be giving Wordapp access to certain information. We suggest reading the privacy policies of the third party website used for verification and review their terms and conditions.

If you verify your identity through a third party website, the website that was used to verify your identity is accountable for all problems that may arise due to the information provided.

Our systems may associate this personal information with your activities in the course of providing service to you (such as pages you view or things you click on or search for). The data we collect is also used for payment services we provide to you and our clients.

We do not knowingly contact or collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at privacy@wordapp.com so we can promptly obtain parental consent or remove the information.

2. Location – We may collect and share anonymous location data

To customize our service for you, we and our partners may collect, use, and share precise location data, including the real-time geographic location of your computer or device. This location data is collected anonymously in a form that does not personally identify you and is used only to provide and improve our service. We may obtain your consent on your first use of the service.

3. Access – You can request to see your personal data.

You can sign into your account to see any personally identifiable information we have stored, such as your name, email, address or phone number. You can also contact us by email privacy@wordapp.com to request to see this information. Your queries should be responded no later than 1 month.

4. Deletion – We may keep your data for a period required by legal procedures.

If you believe the data that is stored is incorrect, stored incorrectly or not in accordance with the law, you can ask to access the information that is stored, ask for it to be modified or deleted in accordance with the applicable law. You also hold your right to ask for restricting the processing of your data or to report to relevant authorities. In order to not have issues in the payment processes, we may keep your data for a period required by legal procedures. As long as there are no contractual obligations, we will delete your data in accordance within the legal time limits.

5. Sharing – we may share personal data with companies we trust

We may share personally identifiable information (such as name, address, email or phone) with trusted partners in order to provide you with relevant offers, payments or services.

6. Ad tracking – No ad companies collect data through our service.

We do not allow advertising companies to collect data through our service for ad targeting.

In order to serve you, we may share your personal and anonymous information with other companies, including vendors and contractors. Our vendors provide assurance that they take reasonable steps to safeguard the data they hold on our behalf, although data security cannot be guaranteed.

Analytics companies may access anonymous data (such as your IP address or device ID) to help us understand how our services are used. They use this data solely on our behalf. They do not share it except in aggregate form; no data is shared as to any individual user.

9. Security – We take steps to protect personal information

We take reasonable steps to secure your personally identifiable information against unauthorized access or disclosure. We encrypt transmission of data on pages where you provide payment information. However, no security or encryption method can be guaranteed to protect information from hackers or human error.
